Boarding your pet with us:

We provide safe and cozy boarding for cats, dogs, and rabbits who are here for short stays or who need medical care while their owners are away. Each pet is given a secure, enclosed space with his or her own soft towel to lie on which is cleaned twice a day. We encourage owners to bring something from home with familiar scents. Every pet is fed twice a day (unless otherwise instructed) and dogs are walked three times a day as well. Any medication required by your pet is administered as prescribed, diabetic dogs and cats regularly receive their insulin injections, and animals needing fluid therapy are kept on schedule.

Rabbits boarding at Symphony receive special attention, and our staff is trained to be vigilant for any subtle changes in appetite or activity. Rabbits who show changes in their food intake or eliminations, will be immediately examined by our doctors, and treated if necessary.

Requirements for boarding:

  • Rabbits: Annual exam
  • Cats: Annual exam, Rabies and FVRCP vaccinations
  • Dogs: Annual exam, Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccinations

Extended boarding for you pet:

For longer boarding stays we recommend The Brooklyn Dog House in Park Slope.
